Plus Three has produced some of the highest profile national campaigns for Latino nonprofit organizations and raised more money online for Latino nonprofit organizations and candidates than anyone in the country.
Plus Three started its engagement with the National American Latino Museum Commission in 2010. Our assignment was to grow the number of members who support the Commission and its work ahead of the submission of its report to President Obama and Congress on development of a National American Latino Museum on the Washington Mall. Prior to Plus Three beginning its work, the commission had fewer than 3,000 Facebook fans and 12,000 supporters in its email database. Just 18 months later, Plus Three has helped the National American Latino Museum garner over 200,000 supporters through social media.
Plus Three helped the Latino Inaugural Gala 2009 set an online fundraising record for the Hispanic community. In just one month, over $625,000 was raised online through the sale of 3,000 gala tickets—a record in fundraising for a Latino organization. The event raised more than $1 million.
Plus Three worked with the League of United Latin American Citizens and the National Council of La Raza to develop CambiaTuFuturo.org, a website that serves as a broadband education and resource center for those Latinos across the country who have not seen the benefit of or who have ignored the movement toward broadband. The website is part of a coordinated campaign to educate Latino communities about the importance of broadband Internet access and increase broadband Internet access to an additional 33% of Americans.
Working with a coalition of Latino leaders and organizations, Plus Three mobilized a national campaign to support Judge Sonia Sotomayor's historic nomination to the Supreme Court. Plus Three is proud to have worked with many of the nation's best Latino nonprofit organizations, including:
